At some car rental agents, you can return the car in a different city or agency office. Make sure to check the policy regarding vehicle return before you just drop it off. Returning your car rental to another location might be a convenience to you but it could incur a relocation or transfer of rental fee.
If you get you car rental from an agency that doesn’t have a counter at your airport, many times they will have a courtesy van that will take you to the airport for free after you drop off their car. Check on the distance and frequency of the shuttle service drop-off to avoid missing a flight because of the car rental agents involvement.
Many car rental companies now offer an express rental car drop-off service. This lets you put the keys in an envelope with the car rental contract, place it in a drop box and leave the car, without even having to go inside and interact with the car rental agency. This type of express service is usually only found at larger airports.
